Major Iraq military assault timed for early August
A military assault in Iraq's Diyala province, timed for August 1st, will involve around 30,000 Iraqi soldiers and policemen. Diyala province is the bastion of al-Qaeda [al-CIAduh] fighters in Iraq. Iraqi military officials have leaked the news that the soldiers and police personnel will take part in the crackdown. The officials have said the operation will be led by the Iraqi army with some support from the US. [The 'surge' is a failure.]
